Nomination Process

"The nomination process will undoubtedly bring to the surface the names of family firms which are perhaps invisible to the eyes of the general public but are exemplars of best practice and are role models for the private sector of the UK economy as a whole."

Grant Gordon, Director General of the Institute of Family Business (UK)

Each year J.P.Morgan's Private Bank seeks nominations of firms with a reputation for innovation and best practice in Family Governance, Business Success and Social Responsibility from leading family business owners, professional advisors and academics.

Candidates for the Honours should be leading family firms which are:
  • Headquartered or based in the United Kingdom or Ireland
  • Controlled by the owning family, with at least 25 per cent ownership
  • Entirely managed by the family, entirely managed by outsiders or a combination of the two
We specifically welcome quoted companies and family offices to participate in the programme. Please contact us for further information on the nomination process.
